In cooperation with the Faculty of Fisheries Sciences at Kafr El-Sheikh University, an interactive workshop was held at the expert level, which is the first of its kind, entitled Smart Management of Fish Farms. And the International Center for Fish - Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nasrallah, and the advisors of the American Soy Export Council, Prof. Dr. Gamal El-Naggar and Prof. Dr. Diaa Al-Kenawy, as well as the Cooperative Fisheries Union represented by Engineer Mohamed Gouda, President of the Fish Farming Association in Fayoum.
The first activities of the Aquavet initiative (hand in hand - scientific support for fish farmers) in Kafr El-Sheikh, in cooperation with Al-Ekhwa Company for Agricultural Development and Teba Company for Trade and Supplies, with the participation of the Faculty of Fisheries Sciences in Kafr El-Sheikh and the Animal Health Research Institute in Kafr El-Sheikh.
Samples of water and fish were analyzed and problems were diagnosed for a number of farmers by experts from the Faculty of Fisheries Sciences, the Animal Health Research Institute and Aquavet. A panel discussion also was held, in which the problems experienced by the industry were discussed in the presence of industry experts and fish farmers, and then effective and necessary recommendations and instructions were presented to solve the problems raised.
A distinguished scientific day organized by Aquavet for fish health and nutrition on the training course (Fundamentals of Nutrition and Formulating Fish Feed) in the presence of a group of pioneers in fish and shrimp farming and the manufacture and distribution of feed in Egypt, in addition to the trainees in a friendly atmosphere, fun and constructive discussion among the attendees, and celebrating with Aquavet’s success partners From farmers and feed producers, the impressive results achieved with Aquavet solutions in water quality, health and nutrition of fish and shrimp.
In partnership with the Faculty of Fisheries Sciences in Kafr El-Sheikh, a series of field visits were made in cooperation with Super Feed Company - Eng. Ahmed Abu Al-Khair, one of the leading companies in the care of fish farms. Samples of fish pond water and fish anatomy were examined, and a number of students and recent graduates were trained to conduct water quality measurements and fish anatomy. It also discussed how to deal with the problems facing the fish industry and provide appropriate scientific recommendations to address the problems at hand.
